Part. 7 Weaving

Hello sweeties!
Today I will explain Weaving. This is the seventh part of my explaining series. Weaving. Next week I’m not going to explain any technique because this is the last part. It has been nice write these explanations but I’m also relieved that this is going to be the last part.

Weave=kutoa
Weaving with looms is an old technique. I think it’s a very known technique as well. For weaving you need looms, weft, warp and a shuttle. Rugs and scarves can be woven. Weaving is an easy technique and it’s easy and quick to learn, but it’s a little hard to get to weave sometimes because you need the looms for it. First you have to make the warp. Then when you start weaving you have to reel the weft onto the shuttle. Then you sit down to the looms and press the treadle to open the warp then ”throw” the shuttle through the warp from other side to other, press the treadle down the whole time you’re doing this. Make a curve of the weft in the warp. Let the treadle and beat about twice the beater to tighten the weft. Change the treadle and press it down, repeat but from the other side. Repeat repeat repeat. Remember to move the stretcher and warp to continue when you’ve done that many rows that the space is getting small. When you finish take off the stretcher.
