Today I will explain crocheting. This is the second part of my explaining series. Crocheting. Next week it will be about embroidery or sewing.
Crocheting is quite popular craft technique. Materials are yarn and a hook. Amigurumis, beanies, baskets, lace, pillows, mittens an many else can be made by crocheting. Crocheting was quite popular few years ago. There’s plenty of different stitches. Most used stitches are chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, treble and a halftreble. Crocheting is maybe a little slower than knitting and the stitch looks totally different, even though people sometimes mix knitting and crocheting. Crocheting is easy to unstitch, because there’s no loops that can run away if you unstitch it. New row is always made by taking the yarn over from the last row’s top. There’s only one way to increase or decrease. Increasing is made by crocheting a stitch two times into one stitch. Decreasing is made by taking the yarn over from one stitch and skipping one stitch and making the stitch to next to the skipped one.
